It was really dark. Too dark. We could see some things if we got close, but that wasn't good enough.

I don't know! It seemed like a city, with a great big crack in the middle. There were carvings on the walls, but I only saw a little, because we had to get Vriska back out of the water, and I couldn't see properly.

But they couldn't swim properly, they had to climb the big salt pillars and then fall. That's why I only lost my wings.

It still hurt though, and the lake was really salty!

that doesn't make much sense, but at least you were able to get away! that's a relief, reira! although, it musta hurt a lot, right? getting your wings cut off in a salty lake and all.

It really hurt! Sora helped make some of the pain go away, but even then it was really sore.

More than getting shocked by the duel disks, I think.

Oh, they climb up the salt pillars, that's why it makes sense.

It also just doesn't hurt as bad when you're shocked.

And well of course it doesn't, right? Getting wings permanently cut off is definitely different than just being shocked for a while!

And the wings stopped hurting after they were out of the salt. The big pain was when they were cut off, but it was the salt that made it bad.
